Hi 1 month ago I bought 3 brand new batters crank and 2 trollings ones brand everstart. The day after I went to lake to try my boat out for the year well it ran but saw it needed a water pump,So i was at the No Wave point by dock and trolled with trolling motor back to dock and loaded up. X55 Battery Charger Pro Shops AndX55 Battery Charger Install As WellWell then I took my boat to my boat repair guy and left it there for the month had some work done on it.( New bulge,Areator,Water Pump,Spark plugs, grease, and few other things done) I went to bass pro shops and bought the charger, new trolling motor and fish finder on friday and brung to him to install as well on saterday. I got my boat back yesterday put it in garge and pluged up charger for like 3 hours and 4 hours today and FISH ON LIGHT is still not on and battery charge seems real warm. How long should it take to charge them or is something wrong So sorry for my very very bad grammer. As they come up to full charge, they usually will switch over and give more to the batteries that need it. NOT enough time if they were low. If you have 80 amp batteries and they are discharged to 40, it should take 8 hours to bring them up. I bought the same charger and found out it takes awhile to completely recharge. Leave it on and the green lite will go on and the amber float lite also. I too use the same charger and it will recharge my group 30 Delco Voyagers over night. I dont own a two or three bank charger but with two batteries hooked in parallel my batteries restore back to full charge overnight with only 2 amps charging. By hooking them in parrallel I probably dont pull my batteries down more than 3037; on a full mornings fishing trip. I had and XPS 55 on my previous boat and as and FYI it got pretty dang warm to the touch - I think thats normal for the model. If it hasnt topped off in 24 hours, youve got some other problem - maybe a bad battery from the store, a cell has gone bad or the water level is low. Past visual inspection, you could hook 1 bank to 1 battery at a time and see if it will charge that one to go fish. Make sure the other two leads dont get grounded to your boat while youre doing that. Oh, and its a bad idea not to charge the batts to 10037; as soon as you can after your trip. Havent had that brand, but a couple others, and theyll get hot too. Old dualpro 55 gets real warm, MinnKota 1010 could cook eggs. I took ur alls advice and left it on over night and the GO FISH light came so im good to go.
